Project

Artificial Intelligence and conversational assistants in the evaluation of the quality of life of elderly people in Castellón and its application to the alarm situation caused by COVID-19.

In this project, the conversational assistant is used as a "barometer" to quantify the quality of life and mental health of a sample of elderly people in the city of Castelló de la Plana.

To ensure the friendly use of the conversational robot, it has been designed taking into account the suggestions and needs of the elderly themselves.

The objective is to use these devices to collect information on the current state of the elderly after the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, through a conversation with the robot, the person will be able to complete various questionnaires. Some of the constructs that will be evaluated through the conversation with the chatbot are loneliness, social isolation, use of technologies and levels of depression.

The data collected by the device will allow health professionals to know the state of mental health of the elderly in real-time and without the need to go to their homes.

The data will be used to study the relationship between quality of life and mental health indicators and the different demographic and attitudinal variables evaluated.

In addition, by using Machine and Deep Learning techniques, models will be generated to estimate the mental health and quality of life of the elderly without the need to answer a scale.
